Daniel Archer is a London-based fashion photographer working internationally across editorial and commercial projects.

Born in Australia and raised on the outskirts of Melbourne, he developed an early fascination with the Australian sun and its shifting qualities of light. The interplay of shadow and illumination became a defining influence, shaping his instinct for atmosphere and image-making.

He studied photography at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), before assisting a number of established fashion photographers. This period informed his technical foundation and led to the development of a distinct visual language.

Archer’s work sits between fashion and fine art, drawing from painting and cinema. His imagery carries a cinematic, painterly quality, often exploring themes of beauty, distortion and emotional ambiguity. Rooted in both observation and imagination, his photographs feel at once intimate and otherworldly, acting as a canvas for his inner worlds.
